
Jesse Vernon Haymaker II, of Camby, passed away on July 27,2016. He was born in Beech Grove, IN on February 9, 1954 to Jesse and Mary Haymaker.
Jesse met the love of his life, Jeanette Short, in 2001, and has spent the last 15 years by her side. He worked at Bridgeport (Olin) Brass as a Diesel Mechanic, several companies as a truck driver, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as security. He enjoyed woodworking, model cars, music (especially Country and Gospel), all things Elvis, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion #103 and the Belleville Masonic Lodge.
Jesse was proceeded in death by his parents, Jesse Vernon Haymaker I and Mary Virginia (Kane) Haymaker; and his sister, Dedra (Tom) Lovins.
He is survived by his life partner, Jeanette Short; son, Shawn (Carrie Sample) Haymaker; stepchildren, Kenny (Sherri) Short and Linda (Osman) Abdalla; grandchildren, Ally Haymaker, Timmy (Tera) Horner, KJ (Jessica) Horner, and Craig (Lacey) Short, Aaron (Tiffany) Sisk, Jason (Darci) Sisk , Jamie (Brian) Sisk , and Nathan Sisk; great-grandchildren, Baylie Chastain, Makenah Horner, Kameron Horner, and Sharinna Horner; brother, Brice (Heather) Haymaker; and sisters, Carmen/Lorie (Bob) Shellenbarger, Candy (Kevin) Hanratty, Sherry (Joe) Elkins, and Tammy (Russell) Knauer.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at The Point Church & Community Center, 2578 Donica Road, Greenwood, and on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 709 Harding St, Plainfield.
